Definition

As a Yogatherapist, I start the session with an INDIVIDUAL interview to understand your needs then I observe your body in order to find the best session for YOU to do regularly (morning/evening). We work in the opposite direction to your problem and you are autonomous according to my advice in your daily practice (for example if your back is curved in kyphosis, we avoid forward bends and we work in backward bending). We meet regularly to set new, clear and precise objectives.

This support is individual. We are not in group classes and Yogatherapy is also suitable for someone who has never done Yoga. You don’t need to be flexible (recurring cliché) and the simplest movements are sometimes the most effective. The first rule: it is AHIMSA (non-violence) and it adapts 100% to your body. We are far from the “marketing” clichés of Yoga and my primary goal is to sincerely help people (ICCA in Sanskrit).

Training

I followed a 550 hour training course (+120 hours of internship) with Doctor Natesan Chandrasekaran for 4 years. Its particularity is that the approach is individualized (he often says “Person: I have asthma?” Answer: “Who is Mr Asthma?”).

In order to complete my knowledge, I also followed training in Breathing Coaching (with the Breathing Academy) and well-being massage (Shiatsu, Balinese Thai with oil, etc.) in order to go further in understanding the individual for his well-being.

This work is personalized support but the only person who can help you medically is your attending physician, do not hesitate to consult him to better understand your illness.

Detailed course of yoga therapy support

  1. Individual interview
During this phase, we will discuss to know a little more about the human being that I am going to support. In particular your lifestyle, your diet, what you like, what you like less and above all understanding your limitations linked to your illness or ailments.
  2. Observation and testing of the person
Once I understand a little more about the human being I met, we will carry out small exercises in order to see the limitations as well as the possibilities of your body.
  3. Setting a goal
It will go in the direction that the practitioner as well as the practitioner has decided. It should be relatively clear and achievable.
  4. Writing a specific session for the person
The practitioner comes out of support with a Yoga practice. Sometimes I allow myself to give it to you a little later if I think I can refine it. You therefore commit to having a regular (daily) Yoga practice and to wanting to free yourself from your blockages. We can do other sessions a few weeks later to follow the progress. Firstly, we can meet again within 15 days to 3 weeks after the first session in order to readjust it, then we will have to monitor developments over the long term.
